The 5th edition of Festival Ciné-Palestine Marseille will officially open with a screening dedicated to the memory of the great actor, director, and filmmaker Mohammad Bakri, who passed away in late 2025. His final short film, “Le Monde” (2025), will precede the documentary “Habibi Hussein” (2025) by his cousin Alex Bakri. At once biting, burlesque, tender, and melancholic, the film follows the renovation of a cinema in Jenin, the refugee camp to which Mohammad Bakri dedicated several of his own films. 🎤 Screening followed by a discussion with May Odeh, producer of “Habibi Hussein” LE MONDE Palestine | 2025 | 6 min | Fiction Inside ”Le Monde”, a café-restaurant, people of different ages and backgrounds are immersed in their private moments as a birthday celebration unfolds.
