France | 1974 | 24 min | documentary Mamoun Bonni’s short documentary was his diploma film when he graduated from the Institut de hautes études de cinéma (IDHEC). Bonni is Syrian, he was close to Palestinian and Arab militants in Paris, as well as the Groupe Cinéma Vincennes, who contributed to the film’s production. The film pays tribute to the militants who were on "Golda’s list", targeted for assassination in Paris and in Europe, after the Palestinian Black September group attacked the Israeli sports team participating in the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972. The film contains a very rarely filmed interview with Jean Genet. A graduate of the Institut Louis Lumière (1972) and the University of Vincennes, Paris VIII (1975), Mamoun Bonni has directed several fiction and documentary films for Syrian television, including A Day in the Life of a Child and The Rural Woman. His work has been awarded in Tunis, Beirut, and Damascus. He has also directed numerous TV movies and series.
