To my Father
Palestine | 2008 | 52 min | Documentary Shot inside the Rafah refugees camp, To My Father is an intimate journey of 50 years of Palestinian history through photographs and photographers' voices. Black and white pictures are at the cernter of every room, as objects of veneration for the families and witnesses of their history. Pictures witnesses happy days, weddings, ceremonies, friendships, ... But reality changes suddenly in Gaza. In 1967, photograpers bocome war reporters, cameras become witnesses for the others. People are afraid as photography has become a tool of control. A film by Abdel Salam Shehadah Abdel Salam Shehada works as a director, cameraman, sound engeneer for televisions and international press agencies. He has shot more than fifteen documentaries.
