Her images blend with Marianne's to tell the story of a childhood that tries to remain carefree under the weight of violence experienced from a distance. A film by Marianne Barakat Marianne Barakat is a Lebanese filmmaker currently studying in the directing department at La Fémis, Paris. She studied filmmaking at ALBA Beyrouth, before working as a script writer for Arab genre films. Today her work combines documentary and fiction, exploring the frontier between the two.
