200 Meters

Palestine, Jordan, Qatar, Sweden, Italy | 2020 | 1h37 | Fiction With Ali Suliman, Anna Unterberger, Lana Zreik, Gassan Abbas Mustafa on one side, Salwa and the children on the other, a family lives apart on each side of the Israeli wall just 200 meters away. They resist every day with all the cunning and tenderness necessary to "live" like everyone else, when a serious incident upsets this ephemeral balance. To find his injured son on the other side, the father embarks on an odyssey through the checkpoints, passenger in an underground minibus where the fate of each comes up against the most absurd obstacles. A film by Ameen Nayfeh Ameen Nayfeh was born in Palestine in 1988. He spent his formative years moving between Jordan and Palestine. Despite an early interest in filmmaking, in 2010 he earned his Bachelor of Sciences in Nursing from Al-Quds University in East Jerusalem. Two years later, he earned an MFA in film production from the Red Sea Institute of Cinematic Arts in Jordan. After several short films (such as The Cressong, 2017), 200 Meters is his first feature film.
