PREAMBLE This year's Festival Ciné-Palestine (FCP) will take place in Paris region and Marseille. The festival aims at promoting a new generation of promising Palestinian artists and filmmakers. This year, FCP is launching the fifth edition of its mentorship program for short films. The program is designed to assist emerging Palestinian filmmakers to develop or complete a draft of their original short film screenplay with the guidance of experienced mentors, namely affirmed Palestinian directors. The program is open to Palestinian filmmakers from all over the world and provides a transformative experience for filmmakers to explore their creativity and individual voice in an inspiring, intensive programme that balances one-on-one mentorship sessions and independent work with moderated group discussions and presentations. Entry fee As a non-for-profit festival, FCP does not charge any entry fee to apply to its new mentorship program. Article 3. Conditions Only project that meet all the following conditions may be chosen for participation in the mentorship program: Candidates must be Palestinian (West Bank, Gaza, 48’, diaspora) Narrative, documentary, animation and experimental short films are eligible Project proposal must be written in English, Arabic or French Intermediate English language level required Full availability required in June 2026 Candidates must hold a valid passport Only one person may apply per project (no co-directing applications) Candidates must have written and directed at least one short film (even within in the University frame) A draft script or an advanced script are eligible Article 4. Exclusivity During the entire duration of the FCP mentorship project, the candidates cannot be involved in other similar projects. Article 5. Language All the project will be in English, Arabic or French. The application must be filled out in English or Arabic but the pitching session must be done in English or French. Article 6. Availability Candidates must be available to attend one month in-residency workshop in Paris, from 1st of June to 30th of June 2026. Article 7. Submission Applications must be submitted by 31st January 2025 11:59pm. An entry form must be filled in on our website www.festivalpalestine.paris prior to this date. No late submission will be allowed. Article 8. Documentation Complete documentation for each selected film is to be made available to the organizers when required. Article 9. Regulation authority FCP Mentorship Program Selection Committee has the power to settle all cases related to this program. Article 10. General terms Participation in mentorship program implies acceptance of all the aforementioned regulations.
