Struggling to keep track of the time passing him by, the prisoner begins to unravel. After a period of time, a cockroach enters his cell, becoming his only source of solace. A film by Akram Al-Waara Akram Al-Waara is a young Palestinian filmmaker based in Bethlehem, born and raised in the Aida Refugee Camp, a place where he draws much of his inspiration for his films. Akram is a graduate of the Dar Al-Kalima University in Bethlehem, and has since directed and written several short films, including a documentary called Night in the Camp, and Headcount. Akram recently worked on the production teams of the upcoming films Father & Daughter by Majdi El-Omari, Salon Huda by Hani Abu Assad, and Kazoz by Amira Diab.
