Off frame AKA Revolution Until Victory

Palestine, France | 2016 | 62 min | Documentary Off frame AKA Revolution Until Victory is a reflection upon the Palestinian struggle in order to create the image and representation of itself during the 1960s and 70s, with the establishment of the “Unité du Film Palestinien”, as part of the Palestinian Liberation Organization. Showing archived films around the world after unprecedented research, the film begins with popular representations of modern Palestine, and then follows the work of activist filmmakers to reclaim the images and accounts of revolutionary and militant cinema. By recapturing forgotten memories, Off Frame AKA Revolution Until Victory relives its content but also provides a critical view by looking at what is off camera, hence the term “off frame”.
