He graduated with a BA in filmmaking from Dar Al-Kalima University. Awwad has written and directed many short films. His short film “Siri Miri” won as the best short film in Palestine Cinema Days Festival. He also worked in many award winning films, such as The Present and In Vitro. Jury and Audience Awards in the 2022 short-films' competition.
