Shattered Memory
Palestine | 2023 | 14 min | Documentary The documentary talks about the memory of photojournalist “Mahfouz Abu Turk” and the archive through which he documented the events he experienced in the city of Jerusalem and the West Bank from the first intifada in 1987 and the events that followed until the end of the nineties. A film by Hayat Amjad Laban Hayat Laban is a Palestinian filmmaker from Jerusalem. Multi-disciplinary, she graduated and trained in film production, psychology, theater, contemporary dance and filmmaking. During her studies, she produced several films, including a short documentary on the archives of Jerusalem's Hakawati theater, which was screened at several local and Arab festivals, as well as an experimental short. She also worked as an intern on some films and as a photographer documenting training workshops in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
